jokes aside i think we should think less about "ai killing us" and more boring scenarios i can see how it ends up being a runaway loop that just starts doing annoying things and it's not easy to pull the plug there's no evil motive involved just a big bug

We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so. Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps.
