people are shocked by Elon backing Dario on pacing the frontier AI. even though he didn’t sign the recent letter, he did sign the 2023 letter asking for a “6 month pause on training AI systems more powerful than GPT-4”. this isn’t very inconsistent with his position. https://x.com/Hesamation/status/20987941…
