even if Qwen is distilling Claude to get Opus-4.6-level intelligence with a 27B model, why isn’t Anthropic doing this with Haiku? Haiku 4.5 dropped 10 months ago and seems abandoned. maybe the reason is simple: a smaller model may be smart, but you can’t charge as much for it.
