I have a theory. It suddenly feels like the two-week Fable 5 ban was just a stunt by Anthropic. So they could push for rigorous safety testing for open-weight models to slow them down. While letting Anthropic say: "Even our own model was restricted." Probably a coincidence. But the timing is interesting.
