when the personal computer won, it made $20k+ workstations in 1980s a distant memory - SGI, Next, Sun, etc. I remember thinking, huh why would anyone ever buy a computer that expensive!?? yet now you buy a PC and add a single RTX PRO 6000... or a Mac Studio. And prices are only going up...
