Why don't I use Managed Runtimes? Once, something randomly broke and it took a while to figure out why. Turns out it was down to some obscure bug in the new version of Node that AWS had upgraded us to. Turned off managed runtimes after that. Why don't I have an agent auto-deploying fixes? Same reason, really. And I prefer to know when a deployment is going out. I might allow auto deploys in the future during my waking hours, but never while I'm asleep. I don't care how good your self-healing…
